International Worker's Day, which is also known as Labour Day celebrated on May 1 in most countries across the world. Also referred to as "May Day". 

American Federation of Labor had chosen the date May 1 for Labour Day, to keep the continuation of the campaign for the 8-hour day in the United States. 

The date was selected by the Marxist International Socialist Congress for particular political reasons in the year 1889 held in Paris. On this day labourers and the working, classes are promoted. 

May Day is a national, public holiday in almost all countries. Hence some countries celebrate Labour Day On different dates, like in the United States and Canada, which celebrates on the 1st Monday of September.

Thrissur Pooram

In Kerala, May 2 is famous for Thrissur Pooram. It is the Hindu religious festival of Vadakumnad Temple in the Trissur District. 

On 7th May there are 2 celebrations, one Rabindra Nath Tagore Jayanti, celebrated in West Bengal, and another one Budha Purnima / Budha Jayanti celebrated all Budha devotees places, almost several states in India. 

Buddha Purnima/ Buddha Jayanti - Buddha Jayanti or Buddha Purnima celebrates all over the states across India. Lord Goutam Budha's birth enlightenment and death are celebrated as Buddha Jayanti. 

On this day most the Buddhist organize prayer meetings, sermons, Buddhist scripture recitation, group meditation, religious discourses, religious processions along with worshipping the divine Buddha Statue. 

Buddha Jayanti celebrates across India, yet mainly celebrates in full swing in Bodhgaya and also in Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi. To observe this divine festival tourists gather in India, special trains are also arranged by the Indian Government for them.

10th May is Mother's Day, all over the world is celebrated. On 24th Muslim Festival Ramzan celebrated all over the world. 25th May celebrated as MahaRanaPratap Jayanti in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana.


Mother's Day- Mother's day celebrates all over the world basically to honor motherhood and to express our love towards them by gifting flowers, or any of their favourite things or any acts which they wanted to do by you. 

Ancient time Mother's day was a Christian festival known as "Mothering Sunday", and it is celebrated on Sunday. Gradually Mothering Sunday converted to a secular holiday and children spend this day to honour their mothers. 

Rabindra Nath Tagore Jayanti -  Rabindra Jayanti (Tagore Jayanti) annually celebrated on 9th May 2020. Bengalis across the world celebrated this cultural festival on Rabindra Nath Tagore, Great Indian Poet, Novelist and Scholar’s Birth Anniversary.

Ramadan- Ramadan or Ramzan has also known as Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims across the world. They celebrate by following obligatory healthy fasting, which is obtained in their Holy Quran, and by honoring their God.

Ramadan or Ramathan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Special prayers are done on this day, distributes gifts to each other, especially do charity works or serving food to the poor. Ramadan Month is a very divine month for them. From April 12 to May 13 is Ramadan month. Celebrates in full swing on May 13 across the Muslims in the world.
