      National Freedom Day- February 1st is considered as National Freedom Day. In America it is a symbol of Liberty, cos this day celebrates freedom from slavery. 

      Major Richard Robert Wright, created National Freedom Day. He was a former slave. On February 1st Abraham Lincoln signed the 13th Amendment outlawing slavery in the year 1865 and on June 30 in 1948, President Harry Truman officially signed the day as National Freedom Day in the United States.


      Sula Fest- Sula Fest is celebrated in India on the 1st and 2nd of Feb annually in Sula's Vineyards in Nashik- Maharashtra. It is India's biggest vineyard music festival. International and Indian music artists are gathered here to give their performances. This festival is the greatest soothing music festival give us abundant fun and refreshment. This is a must experience the festival. 2021 Sula fest has been canceled due to a pandemic. 


      India Heritage Walk Festival- India Heritage Walk Festival is celebrated every year in February month in Mahalaxmi Race Course-Mumbai India. It is organized by a pan-India walk Festival. They involve the people from Srinagar to Chennai and Patan to Itanagar in walks and talks and other various cultural heritage experiences. 


      India Art and Fair-The India Art Fair celebrated every year in February at Okhla Industrial Estate-New Delhi This fair promotes cultural history and development to local and international audiences by bringing their attention to the art charities' great performances of popular artists. 


      Adoor Gajamela Festival- Adoor Gajamela is an Elephant Festival celebrated annually on 4th February in Adoor in Pathanamthitta District in Kerala-India. 

      Kerala is a land of various splendid festivals. The main attraction of the Kerala festivals is well-decorated Elephants. At each festival Elephants are richly decorated with gold, silver ornaments, Gold plated Bells for their neck, and beautiful necklaces. Elephants are worshipped in Kerala. The elephant is believed that the incarnation of Lord Ganapati in Kerala.

        Basant Panchami(Vasant Panchami) - Basant Panchami is an auspicious festival. Goddess Saraswati is worshipped on this day. It is celebrated in the spring month. Spring Month welcomed by Basant Panchami. Basant Panchami is also known as Vasant Panchami. In Eastern parts of India, especially in West Bengal and Bihar. It is celebrated on the 5th day of the Hindu month Magh.

         On this day women and girls wear yellow traditional attire and Men wear Dhoti and Pajama. Traditional and devotional Khichdi (a blend of rice and pulses) are prepared in the houses. Flying colourful kites in the sky is also the part of this festival. Basanth Panchami is a Public holiday in India. Government Offices, schools, colleges will remain closed.
