Ganesh Visarjan - Ganpati Visarjan.



Ganesh Visarjan - Ganpati Visarjan. :  On Ganesh Chathurthi devotees bring Ganapati Statue to their home and daily perform pujas for Ganesh. After the puja, they bid a sad farewell to Ganpati by immersing in Pond, Lake, etc. This ritual is known as Ganesh Visarjan / Ganpati Visarjan. 

Onam Pulikkali



Onam Puli KaliOnam Pulikkali is a folk art of the state of Kerala, India. 2020 Onam Pulikkali falls on 2nd September 2020. On Onam season grown men dressed up as tigers and perform dances to traditional Chendakottu (Kerala's traditional Drum). the theme of the Pulikkali is tiger hunting. This folk art is mainly celebrated in Thrissur Dist, in Kerala State. Full attractions of the puli kali best to watch on the fourth day of Onam. Best performers assemble to Trissur to display their skill. Thousands of people are attracted to Thrissur city to watch the performance. Pulikkali also celebrated during various other Kerala traditional festivals too.

Lonavala International Film Festival (LIFFI)


Lonavala International Film Festival-   Lonavala International Film Festival (LIFFI) . is a fabulous cinematic affair, which brings great attention to the audience whenever it is performed. There are a lot of film festivals that take place every year, we all know well, but one and only the LonavalaInternational Film Festival ranked in its glorious performances. 

The picturesque and photogenic hill station of Lonavala getting ready to host the marvelous festival. This Festival originated in the year 2106. Several well-known celebrities attending the great Festival. Celebration of the efforts of great Writers, Poets, Cinematographers, Directors is the attraction of the Lonavala International Film Festival.

Solung Festival-  Solung Festival celebrated in September every year by the Adi Tribe in Arunachal Pradesh.  This is an agricultural festival, celebrates after the sowing of seeds of a bountiful harvest, great livestock, and for peace, prosperity, and well-being for everyone.

 

The festival is celebrated in three parts day by day. The first day is the preparation, the second-day Sopi-Yekpi ( slaughtering  animals) the third day Binnayat (Rituals offering to the Goddess of Crops) Fourth day  is ammunition and arms ( Taktor- the ritual done for protection against harms from the evil spirits) Main celebrations have done on the last day, which it considers as a farewell.



India Food Fair



India Food Fair- India Food Fair is celebrated annually in September month in Pune. This year it falls from 6th  to 8th September 2020. It is a trade show, there will be food and industrial engineering products also. This is a three days festival for visitors to enjoy throughout the festival, 500 various stalls are the main attraction for the visitors. In Conferences, exhibitions and seminars also you can participate. 



Ramnagar Ramlila


Ramnagar Ramlila- Celebrates in September every year in Varanasi. This year it falls on 9 September 2020Ramlila is a traditionally dramatic presentation that depicts Lord Rama’s Journey. Ramnagar Ramlila this year starts from September 9 ending on October 9. The epic completely describe the history or Rama from his young age till the end with the 10 days battle between the Lord Rama and Ravana. Along with the 10 days of the colorful drama of Ramayana, a big fair also held at and everyone enjoys the fair. Carnivals also held with merchants, sell their goods. 10,000 people take part in the big Mela celebrations. Rama Leela is celebrated on the banks of the Ganges River, Varanasi, Ramanagar.

Sree Krishna Jayanthi



Sree Krishna Jayanthi- Sree Krishna Jayanthi or Krishna Janmashtami is the festival of Lord Sri Krishna's Birthday. In South India (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andra Pradesh Sree Krishna Jayanthi Celebrates on 10th September 2020 while in North India Sree Krishna Jayanthi celebrates on 11-12 August in 2020. It is believed that Sri Krishna was born in Mathura, Uttarpradesh. Krishanshtami also known as Saatam Aatham, Gokulashtami, Yadukulashtami, Sri Jayanthi, and Sri Krishna Jayanthi. Krishan Janmashtami celebrated various parts of the states in India, especially in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. Also celebrated in the countries where Hindus living.

In Mumbai, Maharashtra celebrated in full swing in an awesome way. This year Krishna Janmashtami's date falls on 11-12 August 2020. People celebrate this festival in a different way as per the states. In Mumbai "Dahi Handi" celebration is world-famous. "Dahi" means curd and "Handi" means, clay pot. To honor Lord Krishna, people filled the Handi with curd and butter and money strung up high from buildings, youngsters, who have been selected and called Govindas creates Human Pyramid to reach the Handi and break it to open. There is a category wise team to have participated in it. This is considered as divine pleasure of the game. Winners are then gifted.  

 

Payippadu Snake Boat Race


Payippadu Snake Boat Festival - Payippadu Snake Boat Race is one of the well-known boat race held in Kerala State, India. Annually payippadu river gets ready to celebrate the race. This race is held to commemorate the installation of the idol at the Subramanya Swamy Temple. After the Nehru Trophy boat race, the large participation of snake boats is increased. This race is followed with colourful chundan vallam (Snake Boat) and various other boats too. 
Muharram Last Day


Muharram Last Day- Muharram is the first month in Hijra Calendar. It is considered as the Islamic New Year for Islam. On the tenth day of Muharram is Ashura, people celebrate the day with fasting and special prayers and processions. September 18th Friday Muharram's ending day. 
The tenth day of Muharram considered as Mourning at the martyrdom of Hussayn ibn Ali and his family. On this day Partial fasting followed by Shia and fasting followed by Sunni Muslims.

Pitru Paksha Mela- Pitru Paksha Mela celebrates annually in Gaya, the holy city of Bihar. People across the country attended to participate to perform Shraadh ritual. To worship our ancestors this festival held. The event happens in September annually. The time of Buddha this ritual strted.  This year in 2020 Pitru Paksha Mela have been suspended due to COVID-19.


Vishwakarma


Vishwakarma Puja- Vishwakarma Jayanthi celebrated on the 16th September every year especially in Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand Odisha and Tripura. In Nepal also it is celebrated.  Vishwakarma, the Hindu divine Architect God’s Jayanthi is behind this Vishwakarma Puja celebration. It is believed that he is the one constructed the holy city of Dwaraka where Lord Krishna ruled. He is the creator of many strong weapons for the gods. On this auspicious day factories, industrial areas, shops are conducted Puja by decorating with flowers puja items devoted to Idol of Vishwakarma to worship God Vishwakarma. Craftsmen, mechanics, smiths, welders, all types of workers participate in this puja and pray for a better future and for the smooth working, trouble-free machinery with all sorts of success in their respective fields.  Viswakarma Puja also conducted after Diwali.


Neelam Perur Padayani festival



Neelamperoor Padayani Festival- Neelam Perur Padayani festival is a traditional festival of Buddhists in Kerala. In Malayalam month “Chingam”, every year celebrates in Kerala. It will be celebrated on 27th September in 2020. Dances and rally held at the festival. In Neelamperoor Palli Bhagavathy Temple annual Neelamperoor Padayani Festival held with its unique tradition of ‘Kettukazcha’, a display of decorated effigies of the swan. It is known as ‘Annamkettu’

Abhaneri Festival Abhaneri festival


Abhaneri Festival- Abhaneri  The Festival is celebrated annually in Septemeber in Abhaneri Village in Rajasthan. Abhaneri festival is the festival of live entertainment, adventure activities, shopping, etc held to promote Rural Tourism in Rajasthan. Rajasthani song, dance, puppet shows, camel cart rides, and fairground. These all happened against the backdrops of Harshat Mata Temple in Rajasthan also in Chand Baori (Step Well)

Latin FestivalThe Latin Festival is a dance event organized in Madras. There will be parties, travel, food, and holiday experiences. Its some sort of carnival surrounding. It began in the year of 2014, the founder and director of the Latin Festival is Arun Srinivasan. First Latin Festival was started with 80 participants with three International Acts. Gradually it grew and the number of European participants increased and many artists from all around the world too attracted to participate in this event.


 
The core idea  of the Latin Festival is to expose Chennai (Madras) to world-class dancers and also to bring the attraction of tourists towards the city. Various types of dancing like Mambo, Salsa, Kizomba, Bachata are performed on this event, anyone will get a chance to watch and learn variety of Latin-Afro dance styles.

Ladakh Festival


Ladakh Festival- Ladakh Festival celebrated in September month every year. It is a 15-day long festival celebrated in the gorgeous land of Leh and its surrounding villages. This popular festivals’ main attraction is cultural rally troupes, singing, dancing, and enacting scenes from the folklores. People wear traditional colorful and attractive attire, perform archery, different types of mask dances, and polo. People from India and all over the world gathered here especially to enjoy the musical concert and dances of cultural troupes from the villages.

Pune International Literary Festival- Pune International Literary Festival celebrated annually held in Pune, Maharashtra. This year 2020 it falls on September 28. It is a three-day festival commenced by Writer and Columnist Shobha De in 2018. In 2017  it was opened by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. In 2019 Javed Akhtar opened this festival. This is one of the top eight literary festivals conducted in India. It was founded in the year of 2013. At the festival, various authors and creative personalities from India and also from abroad will come and speak. panel discussions, workshops, and book launches are also held on this grand festival.

Ziro Festival of Music- Ziro Festival of Music is celebrated in September every year in the picturesque Ziro valley. Ziro Festival of Music is the most famous outdoor music festival held in Arunachal Pradesh, India.
