Solung Festival-  Solung Festival celebrated in September every year by the Adi Tribe in Arunachal Pradesh.  This is an agricultural festival, celebrates after the sowing of seeds of a bountiful harvest, great livestock, and for peace, prosperity, and well-being for everyone.

 

The festival is celebrated in three parts day by day. The first day is the preparation, the second-day Sopi-Yekpi ( slaughtering animals) the third-day Binnayat (Rituals offering to the Goddess of Crops) Fourth day is ammunition and arms ( Taktor- the ritual is done for protection against harms from the evil spirits) Main celebrations done on last day, which it considers as a farewell.
