It is believed that he is the one constructed the holy city of Dwaraka where Lord Krishna ruled. He is the creator of many strong weapons for the gods.
On this auspicious day factories, industrial areas, shops are conducted Puja by decorating with flowers puja items devoted to the Idol of Vishwakarma to worship God Vishwakarma. Craftsmen, mechanics, smiths, welders, all types of workers participate in this puja and pray for a better future and for the smooth working, trouble-free machinery with all sorts of success in their respective fields.
