Drupka Teshi Festival:- Drukpa Teshi Festival is celebrated on by the Buddhists in Gangtok, Sikkim. In 2020 the festival date falls on 27th July 2020. On this day Lord Buddha did the first preaching of his first sermon of four Noble Truths to his disciples at Sarnath.

The Primary Noble Truth is Noble The truth of torment. Torment Karma’s birthplace reality is the Second Noble Truth. Nirvana Accomplishment is considered as the third Noble Truth. And finally the fourth Noble Truth is Eighth Fold Path prompting Nirvana.

Prayers for Buddha held in Deer Park where Budha did his Noble Truth Preaching. Yak race is conducted during the Drupka Teshi Festival.
