Karma Festival

Karma Puja Festival- Karam Festival celebrated 29th august 2020. It is an harvest festival celebrated mainly in Jharkand by Baiga, Oraon, Binjhwari and Majhwar tribes of the state. In Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhatisgarh also celebrate this festival.

Karma Tree (Nauclea Parva) is an evergreen tree considered as the symbol of fertility and prosperity. Colour ful traditional dances are held. Dancers carry the branch of Karam tree while singing and dancing. Then smeared with milk and rice beer, branch will raised and around the branch dance perform.
