❤Stay home Stay Safe❤National Freedom Day- February 1st is considered as National Freedom Day. In America it is a symbol of Liberty, cos this day celebrates freedom from slavery.
Major Richard Robert Wright, created National Freedom Day. He was a former slave. On February 1st Abraham Lincoln signed the 13th Amendment outlawing slavery in the year 1865 and on June 30 in 1948, President Harry Truman officially signed the day as National Freedom Day in the United States.
Sula Fest- Sula Fest is celebrated in India on the 1st and 2nd of Feb annually in Sula's Vineyards in Nashik- Maharashtra. It is India's biggest vineyard music festival. Spring Month welcomed by Basant Panchami. Basant Panchami is also known as Vasant Panchami. In Eastern parts of India, especially in West Bengal and Bihar. It is celebrated on the 5th day of the Hindu month Magh.
On this day women and girls wear yellow traditional attire and Men wear Dhoti and Pajama. Traditional and devotional Khichdi (a blend of rice and pulses) are prepared in the houses.
